Poetic Verse

We have triumphed over adversity
As we live our daily lives
We have endured the greatest hardships
Yet the pride of our nation
Has always been present by our sides
The pride of our nation
Will always be in the hearts
Of everyone of us who call
New Zealand home
We will carry it with pride
Wherever we may roam
For the pride of our nation
Is in our hearts and souls
We are proud of our heritage
For we know where we have been
We will hold our heads with pride
For New Zealand is our home
